Log Workouts, Races & PBs
StrideBuddy keeps a track session the way it was written: the reps, the recoveries, the splits, and how it felt.
StrideBuddy is a training diary for competitive track and field athletes.
Most running apps are built around GPS and record the distance you covered. StrideBuddy records the session you actually ran: the reps, the recoveries, the splits, the race results, the strength work, and the notes that make a season readable a year later.
LOG EVERY KIND OF SESSION
- Build structured track sessions with blocks, reps, splits, and recoveries
- Record continuous runs with distance, duration, pace, effort, and notes
- Log strength sessions with quick templates, exercises, sets, reps, load, or time
- Save race results for flat, hurdles, and steeplechase events
- Use Quick Log for drills, strides, warmups, cross-training, or anything else you want to jot down
HURDLES AND STEEPLE ARE NOT FLAT REPS
Turn any rep into a hurdle rep by setting the number of hurdles, and the spacing and height for 100mH, 110mH, or 400mH follow from your event. Steeple reps carry barriers and water jumps. Neither one ever collapses into a flat time, so five hurdles over 400mH spacing never becomes a 200m personal best, and your 400m and your 400mH stay apart.
BUILT AROUND YOUR EVENT
StrideBuddy organizes the diary around the event you actually run. Structured sessions hold flat reps, hurdle reps, steeple reps, hill reps, and active recoveries, whether that is standing rest, a jog, or a float with a target pace. You can also record RPE, how you felt, the weather, the surface, and your overall session feel.
KEEP TRACK OF PBS AND WORKOUT RECORDS
Keep race PBs and workout records in one place. See your fastest reps and races, compare season and all-time records, and view a signature curve across the distances you run. Hurdle reps get their own rows, labeled by hurdle count and event spacing rather than a made-up distance.
SEE WHAT YOUR DIARY SAYS
The Today tab shows how the current week looks based on what you have logged, worked out on your device. The Review tab adds a Daily Review, a short written read on your recent training, once there is enough in the diary to say something useful. Daily Review is optional and you can switch it off in Settings.
YOUR DIARY STAYS YOURS
StrideBuddy is free, with nothing to unlock. There is no account to create and no watch to pair. Your diary is stored on your iPhone and syncs across your devices through your own iCloud account.
MADE FOR TRACK ATHLETES
StrideBuddy is designed for sprinters, hurdlers, middle-distance runners, and steeplechasers. It is for athletes who want a diary that understands training structure rather than mileage.
StrideBuddy helps you log, review, and understand your own training history. It is a training diary, not a medical device or a replacement for your coach.
