Restaurant Food Scorer & Guide
MenuScore makes restaurant nutrition and ingredient information easier to understand.
Whether you want a higher-protein meal, fewer calories, more fiber, or clearer ingredient information, MenuScore helps you compare available options before ordering.
TRANSPARENT MENU SCORES
See how each MenuScore was calculated:
- Starting and final score
- Detected scoring factors
- Exact point effects
- Nutrition and ingredient contributions
- Missing or unavailable information
MenuScore uses a consistent rubric. Personal preferences can help organize options, but they do not change an item’s score.
RESTAURANT NUTRITION
Review available nutrition facts for individual items and complete meals:
- Calories
- Protein and protein per 100 calories
- Carbohydrates
- Total and saturated fat
- Fiber
- Sugar
- Sodium
Availability varies by restaurant and menu item. MenuScore distinguishes available information from fields a restaurant has not provided.
INGREDIENT INFORMATION
MenuScore searches available restaurant ingredient text for selected terms, including:
- TBHQ, BHA, and BHT
- Soybean, canola, and cottonseed oil
- Selected artificial colors
- High fructose corn syrup
- MSG and carrageenan
- Nitrates, nitrites, and more
Reported ingredient terms appear with their scoring effects. A match does not establish the ingredient’s amount, medical significance, or regulatory status.
SUGGESTED COMBOS
Explore restaurant meal combinations focused on higher protein, fewer calories, lower sodium, or balanced nutrition. Available totals may include calories, protein, protein per 100 calories, carbohydrates, fat, and sodium. Suggested Combos are designed to provide meaningful variety rather than repeat the same entrée and side.
MEAL BUILDER
Combine entrées, sides, sauces, drinks, and other menu items. As you build, MenuScore updates available calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, sodium, Meal Score, and progress toward enabled daily nutrition goals.
Save completed meals and return to their nutrition totals at any time.
ASK MENUSCORE AI
Ask factual questions about available restaurant menu data:
- What has the most protein at McDonald’s?
- What are the lowest-calorie options at Chipotle?
- Which items have the most fiber?
- How much sodium is in this meal?
- What ingredients are reported for this item?
MenuScore AI helps explain and compare the information available in the app. It does not diagnose conditions or provide medical advice.
