ILLUSTRATED STORIES Each story includes page-by-page illustrations built around the selected theme, characters, setting, and mood. Available styles include storybook, watercolor, cartoon, comic, pixel art, anime, and more.

OFFLINE AND PRIVATE Standard stories are written and illustrated right on your iPhone using Apple's built-in frameworks — no connection needed. The photos you add stay on your device and sync only to your own private iCloud.

HOW TALES HANDLES YOUR DATA On supported devices, standard story creation can use Apple system frameworks for on-device generation. Enhanced story creation, account sign-in, subscription validation, image upload handling, and resumable generation use the Tales backend. When you choose enhanced cloud features, relevant story inputs and participant images may be processed by Tales and service providers as described in the Privacy Policy.
