User Reviews

Card World is lauded for exceptional accessibility for blind and sighted players and for its responsive, user-focused development. Reviewers praise its easy-to-learn rules, nostalgic appeal, and relaxing, addictive gameplay. The main recurring concerns are the current limited card-game selection and a subscription/paywall model for certain features like the in-game forum and ads. Most reviewers expect more games and continued updates. Overall, it’s highly regarded for accessibility and quality gameplay, with growing enthusiasm for expansion.
Pros
  • Extremely accessible for blind and sighted players; easy to learn and VoiceOver-friendly.
  • Developer responsiveness and rapid updates implementing feedback (e.g., discard pile review, suits announced, meld announcements).
  • Engaging, relaxing, and addictive gameplay that is enjoyable to play.
  • Educational value; teaches how to play card games and learn quickly.
  • Growth potential and community support; ongoing updates and expansion ideas (more games, cross-platform).
Cons
  • Limited game selection at launch; only a couple of card games available; users want more variety.
  • Pricing model includes subscription/paywall for features like the in-game forum and ad-free mode; opinions on value vary.

I am embarrassed to say that I just realized this game existed. After I figured out how to play 2 out of the 3 games I hit the ground running. I want to say I really enjoy playing this game even though at the moment I am losing more than winning… The reason I didn’t give the app 5 stars is becaus I think that requiring players to use a gem just to play, both bonus and regular games is frustrating. Why can’t it be like Dice World where the gems are used to take bonus turns??? Also, we can’t even post on the forum unless we subscribe??? I get money needs to be made, but we can’t even play with the bots for free??? Please consider giving us something more that doesn’t require a monetary value? oh, last thing, can there be a random opponent element added to the game like in DW? Will there be other card games like UNO, Pity Pat or 5000 added to the game in the future? Just hoping, thanks for the tgame!

Hey everyone, Melanie here, I ❤️ Dice World, and now I ❤️ Card World just as much. I would love to see more accessible card games, such as Crazy Eights, Uno, Poker, Canasta, and maybe even a couple of card games for younger players, I would love to have something that I can play with my grandkids. This is the best developer I have ever come across. When I first encountered Dice World, it was a mess as far as accessibility goes, but after time and a lot of effort by him, he learned how to use voiceover, and how to develop his games for not only the sighted world, but also for the visually impaired world as well, so that we all can enjoy playing with our sighted friends and family. Thanks so much for all of the time and effort that you have put into your games, you put a lot of heart and soul into each one. A+++++ to you. ♥️♠️♦️♣️
