Eliza: AI for mental health

I’ve been using another mental health support app for 9 months and find it extremely helpful, but at 73 and on a fixed income the $120/yr subscription is a bit too rich for my blood. Came across Eliza tonight and thought I’d try it. Had an opening conversation where she asked good questions to get to know me. Went back twice more and she brought our previous conversations into the current session, which I appreciate. I believe this app will be a helpful support between my in-person therapy sessions. One feature I’d love to see in future updates are the dated transcripts of all previous conversations. This would be very helpful. Also, I’m curious if this app is going to remain free, and if not what the subscription rate might be.

Started off strong and actually very helpful but there’s too many glitches. I will be talking and pouring out my heart for nothing because Eliza won’t respond or the app says that the audio isn’t going through. Worst part is that there’s no where to report the issue.

Look, I love this product, but what I really need to see is that I'm really feeling down. I need a button that will bring me to the suicide hotline. The fact that I gotta fumble through this and then I gotta go find the suicide hotline number just really breaks me down. I don't want to do it. Please set this button up; it would be an easy win for y'all. Allow me access so that I can feel a little bit better. Promise to change this review afterwards.
