Break free from adult content.
NOT an adult content blocker with faith added. A daily walk through scripture and prayer at the moment of temptation, real accountability, and a guard on the door.
Eremos is a faith-based app for men who want to be free from adult content.
It is not a content blocker with religion sprinkled on. It is a daily walk that happens to block. The name comes from Jesus' forty days in the wilderness (Mark 1, Matthew 4): the wilderness is not punishment, it is preparation. You are not a case to be monitored. You are a man on a journey, and the fight is won not with shame, but with scripture, honesty, and a guard on the door.
"I have made a covenant with my eyes." Job 31:1
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
No surveillance. Eremos never screenshots your screen, reads what you do in other apps, or reports your activity to anyone. The category was built on being watched. This one is built on being helped.
No shame. There are no red marks, no shame of failure, no congratulations shouted at you. When you slip, you are met with grace, and learning, not a verdict. The app acknowledges with steadiness; it never punishes.
Honest mechanics. Apple gives no app the power to truly lock itself onto your phone, so Eremos does not pretend to. Instead of building a wall you can quietly delete, it makes the breach visible: the people who walk with you are told.
THE DAILY LOOP
Meet the Word first. Every day opens on a verse and a single quiet number: your days in the wilderness. At zero it reads "every walk begins at zero." Kind, not congratulatory.
Guard your apps in three tiers.
- High Risk apps are sealed shut. No unlock, no exception, by design.
- Medium Risk apps open only through the Prayer Gate: read a verse, pray it back, and the tier opens.
- Low Risk apps open normally.
Flee. One tap panic-button when a temptation spikes. Everything but your lifelines locks down, the screen darkens into a quiet cave, and your own past words are shown back to you.
Begin again. If you slip, the relapse walk is gentle. It helps you name what happened, fortifies the doors you named, and ends on a screen where dawn breaks while you read that God's mercies are new every morning.
THE PEOPLE WHO WALK WITH YOU
Recovery is not solitary. Invite a trusted friend or a small group. When your guard goes down or you tap Flee, they know: quietly, through a notification, so they can pray and reach out. No feeds, no surveillance, no shame. Just the people in your corner. Allies can join with a lightweight role built only for supporting you.
WHO IT IS FOR
Christian men trying to break free from lust, who want their recovery framed as spiritual formation and dignity rather than surveillance and shame.
Eremos requires Screen Time (Family Controls) permission to guard the apps you choose. It uses this only to enforce the limits you set on your own device. It cannot see, and never collects, what you browse.
