Brickify: Collection Tracker

Minifig & TCG Card Scanner

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Brickify: Collection Tracker uses your iPhone camera to identify LEGO® minifigures, sets, loose pieces, Pokémon cards, and Magic: The Gathering cards. Scan items individually or in groups, view market values and price history, compare raw and graded card prices, and organize collectibles into dedicated collections and custom binders.

Track quantities, conditions, variants, purchases, gains, losses, and set-completion progress. LEGO fans can scan loose pieces for build ideas, find missing parts, and access step-by-step instructions for more than 4,500 sets. Advanced scanning and collection tools require a Brickify Pro subscription.

User Reviews

Overall, users praise Brickify for saving time and aiding value estimation with its AI scan feature, but are repeatedly frustrated by the paywall and lack of manual entry. Scanner inaccuracies add to reliability concerns. The concept is appealing, but pricing and durability issues limit adoption.
Pros
  • Time-saving for building lists and organizing your LEGO collection.
  • AI scanning feature is a handy data-entry tool and generally convenient.
  • Helpful for pricing out and seeing the value of the collection.
Cons
  • Heavy paywall: no meaningful free version and a costly subscription.
  • Trial gating and bait-and-switch onboarding making it hard to try the app before paying.
  • No manual entry option for minifigs/sets (manual additions are missing).
  • Scanner accuracy issues: can misread or fail to register items.

The app itself was okay, and I do think it has some potential. During my free trial, I tried the live pricing feature while watching Whatnot streams and looking at cards on eBay. Being able to point your phone at a card and quickly see pricing information was a pretty cool idea, especially when trying to decide if something was worth buying. That being said, I noticed pretty quickly that it didn’t always recognize the card right away. When you’re watching a live stream and only have a short amount of time to make a decision, that can be frustrating. I also didn’t always feel like the pricing was accurate compared to what I was seeing cards actually selling for elsewhere. My biggest issue, though, was the trial and how I ended up being charged. I signed up for a free trial from August 28 through August 31. When I went to cancel on August 30, I discovered I had already been charged $89.99 for an entire year. I genuinely felt robbed. If my trial was supposed to run through August 31, I don’t understand why I was charged on August 30. I immediately requested a refund through Apple and was denied, which made the situation even more frustrating. I never intended to purchase a yearly subscription. I was simply trying the app during the free trial and attempted to cancel before what I understood to be the end of that trial. I have not used the app since the free trial and have deleted it from my phone. It’s disappointing because I actually thought the live pricing concept was useful and could see myself using something like this. But between the card recognition issues, pricing accuracy, and especially being charged $89.99 before I believed my trial had ended, the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. If you decide to try the app, just be extremely careful with the free trial and when you cancel so you don’t end up in the same situation I did.
