Where was this app a few years ago when my boys were younger? This totally opened up lines of communication between me and my little ones!

What an amazing app!! Where do I even start.. My nephew, who is nonverbal, had previously been using a few different AAC apps and devices to communicate with us, which I already thought was great because he was kind of able to tell us what he wanted. But even so, there were so many limitations and restrictions that I didn’t notice when he first started using them. The biggest one being that we couldn’t hear what he was selecting unless he was within 3 feet of someone. Goodness knows how many of his little requests went unnoticed and he probably wasn’t understanding why :( But now with this app, he just texts his requests over and I can immediately see what he wants no matter where I am! I love getting notifications of his snack requests and being able to show up to my sister’s house like the Koolaid Man with exactly what he wants 😂 And seeing his excitement never gets old! For the first time since he lost his ability to speak, I feel like we’re finally connecting again. And that means more to me than I can put into words…
