Viddycom is the first natural-language, voice-controlled iOS camera app for people who shoot alone. You just talk to it like a person. No running back before the shutter goes. No reaching for the button.

TALK TO IT LIKE A PERSON There's nothing to memorise. Say "take a photo", "start recording", "zoom in a bit" — however it comes out of your mouth. It's listening from the moment you open it, so once you're in position you never touch the phone again.

ASK FOR THREE THINGS AT ONCE "Blur the background, zoom in, then take three photos." It does them in order — so you can set the whole shot up from across the room.

Blur the background Softens whatever's behind you, so people look at you and not the mess in the room. The expensive-camera look, without the expensive camera.

A burst of photos — several in one go Say "take five photos" and it fires off five in a row. Instead of one stiff pose, you get a handful to choose from, so there's always a good one. Changed your mind halfway? Say "cancel" and it stops, keeping the ones already taken.

Slow, smooth zoom Say "zoom to five, slowly" and it glides there. Pinching with your fingers looks jerky; this looks like someone else is operating the camera for you.

Recording that waits for you "Start recording in five seconds" gives you time to set the phone down and get into place — so your videos don't all start with you lunging back to your seat.

Stay the right size in shot Say "track me" and it adjusts as you move closer or further away, keeping you the same size on screen, so you don't shrink into the background every time you step back.

Steadier video Say "steady mode on" before you start walking and the shake comes out — handheld footage that doesn't look handheld.

A grid for straight shots Ask for a grid and rule-of-thirds guides appear, so your horizon is level and your subject sits where you want it.

Framing guides for each platform Ask to frame for TikTok, Reels or YouTube and that platform's crop appears on screen, so you leave room for captions instead of cropping your own head off. It is a viewfinder guide only — your photo or video is saved exactly as shot.

Take it back Say "bin that" straight after a shot and it's gone. No hunting through your camera roll later to delete the bad one.
