User Reviews

Reviewers consistently praise Aurora Hills: Chapter 2 for its engaging story, moody atmosphere, strong visuals and soundtrack, challenging but fair puzzles, and a helpful hint system with meaningful guidance. They also note substantial chapter length and value. Common criticisms focus on puzzle clarity—some puzzles feel opaque and can require outside help—along with pacing concerns due to long waits between chapters (and some feeling Chapter 2 was shorter than hoped). Another recurring wish is for hints in hard mode or a configurable hint option. Overall, a high-quality, immersive puzzle adventure with room for pacing and clarity improvements.
Pros
  • Engaging story with atmosphere and cliffhangers.
  • Puzzles are clever, challenging but fair with strong variety and progression.
  • Stunning visuals and haunting soundtrack creating an immersive mood.
  • Helpful hint system that guides puzzle-solving without spoiling, plus optional skip.
  • Long, substantial chapters with hours of gameplay and good value.
Cons
  • Some puzzles feel opaque or illogical, requiring external hints to solve.
  • Long waits between chapters and, for some, Chapter 2 felt short/finished quickly.
  • Hard mode lacks hints; players want an option to keep hints on or a customizable hint setting.

Imagine if Frictional Games (Penumbra, Amnesia, SOMA) made point and click games. Thats what Novasoft does, and I’m 100% here for it. This was an instant purchase. I would easily pay $20 for this.
