User Reviews

User feedback centers on a simple, fast-to-use text-to-speech app, but recurrent issues overshadow the positives. The app frequently glitches, producing distorted voices, background noises, or eerie breathing sounds. It struggles with long documents—often only a fraction is read or duration caps are hit—plus many file-upload problems (PDFs, Dropbox). Pronunciations are unreliable, with misread words. Several reviewers question the value for money given the price and the number of persistent problems. A subset finds it easy to use and quick to generate audio, but the consistency and cost overshadow the potential benefits.
Pros
  • Easy to use with a simple UI
  • Generates audio quickly with little wait time
  • Straightforward text-to-speech functionality
Cons
  • Frequent playback glitches and distorted audio (speeding up/slowing down, echo, muffled voices)
  • Inability to handle large/long documents; duration limits; often only a fraction is read
  • Pronunciation errors and misreading of words
  • Upload/file compatibility issues (PDF uploads failing, Dropbox not supported, content limit reached)
  • Perceived high price and poor value; many users seeking refunds

Paid $100… it keeps glitching. It speeds up. Slows way down. Will sometimes slip into a weird devil voice that echoes. It’s not just long files. Does this with short text files too. Feel like it was a bit of a scam.

I was semi pleased at first and quickly learned that for a bulleted list or the use of a forward or back slash, this app is no good at dealing with that and instead of just skipping the bullet, it made sounds of different languages. Maybe Dutch..it was pretty frightening 😂 And now, it seems to not want to upload PDFs that cannot be read in under 15 minutes. It’s really only with it if you’re trying to memorize something short. Like a song 🤷🏻‍♂️. Don’t waste the $99 on this app. I will be seeking a refund.
