crossin — digital postcards

cross the world with postcards

Features & Capabilities

We made crossin for people who reminisce about the days when you told someone “Hey, I’m thinking about you” through a postcard—a place for travelers who still believe in tangible connections.

You don’t just send postcards—you connect with a global community of travelers. Choose a photo that captures your journey (live photos included), add a personal message or record your voice, and send it to a friend, family, or maybe let it drift out into the world to someone you’ve never met. See postcards and comments from people all over the world and discover stories from places you’ve never been.

If you’re a travel collector at heart like us, you’ll feel right at home. Document your adventures with location specific postmarks, stamps, and even a virtual passport—we brought the fun of IRL collecting into crossin.

We’re excited for you to start bringing that old postcard magic into every corner of the modern world.

User Reviews

Users praise Crossin’s charming, postcard-style concept and global feel, but repeatedly request essential features: editable dates/locations, private accounts, accurate stamping, and stronger social/discovery options (following, friends, region browse). Addressing these priorities would preserve its nostalgic vibe while enabling broader use.
Pros
  • Nostalgic, simple concept with cute stamp designs that makes travel memories feel special.
  • Easy, low-friction way to create and send digital postcards.
  • Global connectivity and the ability to share with friends, offering a mellow alternative to traditional social media.
  • Fun way to document trips and reminisce, with potential for pen pals and a community.
Cons
  • Date and location editing is missing; users want backdating and the ability to set manual dates/locations.
  • Privacy controls are limited; private accounts and post visibility options are frequently requested.
  • Location stamping accuracy is inconsistent; users want to choose what city the stamp shows and correct labeling.
  • Desire for social features and discoverability (following/friends and region-based browsing) that are currently lacking.

This is such a fun app. I really do hope it keeps its simplicity. Like others I wish there was a way to change the location and date of the posts; also a method to add past travels and finally a way to follow people!!

I’ve really enjoyed using Crossin as someone who sends a lot of physical mail. It’s a creative and fun twist on traditional social media, and has a lot of potential for people who love mail and travel culture. I’d love to see a few key improvements. A way to browse postcards by region or map would make exploring much more interesting, (would love to see who’s local to me!) and a favorite option is needed since there’s currently no way to revisit postcards within the app once they’re gone. A friends or following feature would also be great, especially with the ability to send postcards directly between friends, or specific postcards that are visible to friends only instead of everything being random or public. There is a “pen pal” messaging feature, but a friends or following system would make more sense overall. At minimum, a dedicated space to post that you’re looking for pen pals would help, since most people aren’t randomly messaging each other directly. More customization would make a big difference too, including choosing stamps for postcards and having more flexible layouts for longer messages. It would also help to be able to backdate posts when needed. Overall, I love the concept and hope to see more community, collecting, and customization features added in the future! Excited to see Crossin grow 😊

I was a huge fan until I discovered my Taiwan posts were being labeled as "Taiwan, China" with a China flag on my passport. Surprised that a group of young developers would not recognize that. I want to keep supporting them and help this app grow but that crosses the line for me.
