User Reviews

Users find Postfun fun, easy, and globally oriented with a Postcrossing-like vibe and a strong sense of community. However, repeated issues center on Russia: addresses frequently default to Russia, causing delays and mandatory waits; delivery can be unreliable. The app also suffers sporadic bugs and navigation problems. Despite these drawbacks, the overall experience remains positive when cards arrive, and many users view Postfun as a smooth, global alternative to traditional postcard exchanges.
Pros
  • Fun and engaging postcard exchange experience, like a mini Postcrossing.
  • Easy-to-use mobile app that makes sending and receiving postcards quick and simple.
  • Global reach with postcards from around the world, creating a worldwide community.
  • Feels like a community and adds excitement to getting mail back home.
  • Overall, users view Postfun as a smooth, enjoyable Postcrossing-like alternative.
Cons
  • Russian addresses dominate the address pool, causing delays and frustration for non-Russian destinations.
  • Frequent one-hour waits after denial when sending to certain countries (notably Russia).
  • Delivery can be slow or postcards may not arrive, reducing reliability.
  • Occasional app bugs and stability issues (freezes, login/account problems, navigation glitches).
  • Lack of an easy option to filter out or avoid Russian destinations.
Recent reviews
The app itself is fun, basically a mini Postcrossing app. My main complaint is that whenever registering a card it says “text should not contain sites to external links”, even when there is no link or anything. I end up having to dub down my message to a few words to get it to work. Another issue is with Russian addresses, where whenever you pull one sending from the US it makes you wait an hour to get a new address. It seems easier to just not have Russian addresses be pull-able in the first place?? Overall the app is fun but I wish they would fix these annoying issues.
