Aletha: Muscle Release Routine

From the Creators of Hip Hook

Overview

Features & Capabilities

You have the devices, now master the technique. If you’ve ever wondered whether you're placing it correctly, using the right pressure, or holding long enough, you're not alone.

You will be guided by physical therapist Christine Annie (formerly Koth), founder of Aletha. She developed Aletha’s muscle release devices and app to complement medical and fitness programs, giving you a clear way to support your body at home.

WHY A MUSCLE RELEASE HABIT MATTERS Muscle tension accumulates every day from poor posture, stress, workouts, injuries, and sedentary positions. When muscles stay in a contracted state, they can influence joint comfort, alignment, posture, and how freely your body moves.

You cannot fix years of muscle tension in a single session. It requires maintenance.

Aletha helps you understand and support this often overlooked piece of musculoskeletal health as part of a daily practice.

REMOVE THE GUESSWORK Precision devices require precise use. We provide step-by-step visuals and audio guidance so you can use the Mark Hip Hook, Orbit, and Range with confidence. Clear cues and therapeutic pacing help turn “I hope this works” into “I know what I’m doing.”

FOCUSING ON THE MUSCLES THAT MATTER Not all muscles affect the body equally. Aletha emphasizes key areas, especially around the hips, pelvis, spine, neck, and shoulders, that play an outsized role in how tension is distributed throughout the body.

REINFORCING WHAT YOU RELEASE Releasing the muscle is step one. What comes next helps your body keep the change. Follow your releases with other activities like mobility, alignment, and muscle activation to help your body "save" the changes you just made, leading to smoother movement and better posture. This forms a practical routine you can return to day after day.

WHAT’S INSIDE • Aletha’s guided release timer to help you hold steady pressure long enough for meaningful release, so you don't rush or second-guess the process • Guided muscle release for daily use • Clear instruction for device placement, pressure, and duration • Education on what release and relief can feel like • Support for common tension patterns in the hips, back, pelvis, neck, and shoulders • A calm, structured experience that builds confidence over time

EARLY ACCESS Please note: This app launch is our first version. We are actively refining the experience and will be rolling out new features soon including: • Build-your-own muscle release routines • AI features to help with device placement on your unique body • Premium personalized daily routines based on how you are feeling each day

For many people, releasing muscle tension with prolonged pressure is a missing piece of overall musculoskeletal health. Aletha’s mission is to illuminate what’s been overlooked and support you, everyday, so caring for your body feels easier.

User Reviews

I’ve been enjoying hip hook, band, orbit, and range to release tension of my body. I was excited to use the app, but unfortunately, none of the video loads. I hope to get to use this app to gain more benefit from these tools. It’ll be wonderful if the company would make tailored video for activity categories, such as sports and type of martial arts. For me, my main motivation is to enable myself to throw better high kick and middle kick. I would love to learn from karate, taekwondo Muaythai and Kickboxing professionals how they use these products to become better at their martial arts. Especially throwing high and middle kick.

I like the fact that the update has more detailed instructions for how how to target each muscle. What I don’t like is that the timer is now silent, so there is no alert when the 90 seconds are up. I have to keep trying to look, which is not easy in some positions. I liked the comments during the old timer which let me know how much time was going by. I also liked the option to just use the timer, which is honestly now.
