TrailShare is the app for people who go to the mountains: record your hikes with GPS, find mountain huts and bivouacs on the map, and keep working where there is no signal.

Download the area you need in advance and the map stays offline: available while you record and while you follow a trail, even in airplane mode.

RECORD YOUR OUTINGS

GPS tracking with distance, elevation gain, moving time and speed. It keeps running in the background without losing data.

Fourteen activities: hiking, walking, trail running, running, cycling, mountain biking, gravel, e-bike, e-MTB, alpine skiing, ski touring, nordic skiing, snowshoeing and snowboarding.

Take geotagged photos along the route and replay your track in 3D when you get home.

TRAILS ACROSS THE ALPS

A catalogue of over 16,000 trails in Italy, Austria, Switzerland and France, with distance, elevation and estimated walking time.

Technical difficulty comes from the survey of whoever mapped the path, not from a formula on length and climb — and where that survey is missing, the app says so instead of inventing a grade.

323 routes are flagged as via ferrata, 168 of which do not say so in their name. They need a harness, helmet and via ferrata set, they are marked red on the map, and you can filter them out.

FOLLOW A TRACK, OR DRAW ONE

Import your GPX, TCX and FIT files, or follow a track shared by another hiker. With the planner you choose the waypoints and the route draws itself: save it and leave when you are ready.

Turn-by-turn navigation, on screen and by voice.

WATCHES AND HEART RATE STRAPS

Connect Polar and Suunto: outings recorded on your wrist arrive in the app with track and heart rate. Works with Bluetooth heart rate straps, Apple Health and Health Connect.

COMMUNITY

Follow other hikers, leave a Cheer, comment. Groups, leaderboards, badges and challenges for those who enjoy keeping score, and timed segments on the stretches you repeat.

Share your position in real time with whoever stays at home, and set the contacts to alert.

HUTS AND BIVOUACS

Over 21,000 points of the Italian mountains come installed with the app: huts, bivouacs, shelters, springs, fountains, viewpoints and e-bike charging stations. They are on your phone, not on a server: you see them without a connection. This offline pack covers Italy.
