Spool: Screen Time Control

App Blocker, Focus & Limit

Features & Capabilities

Built on research-backed techniques from Harvard, Yale, UCLA, and UC Irvine. Spool reframes screen time as a habit loop rather than a discipline problem. Before you scroll, you name why you're reaching for your phone—creating a pause that weakens the craving at its source. If you repeat the same excuse, Spool can lock you out.

Why you'll love Spool: daily AI insights to surface triggers, analytics on when you reach for your phone, and instant blocking for apps and websites to reclaim focus and mental clarity. Note: all features described above require a subscription. EULA and Privacy Policy links are provided.

User Reviews

Users broadly praise Spool for reducing screen time, boosting mindfulness, and helping form healthier phone habits. The app is easy to use with a strong UI, useful tutorials, and positive feedback about updates. Many report meaningful decreases in doomscrolling and improved productivity. A frequent concern is pricing, with several reviews noting that core features require a premium subscription and pricing is not always transparent. Overall, the app is seen as effective and motivating, though potential buyers should weigh the cost against the benefits.

I was very happy about this app because it’s seems very good, and u downloaded and I made all of that quiz, I was excited, and when I finally end the quiz, I have to pay, I press X to not pay, and just put another mini screen and says “limited one time offer” I press X and then again the screen to pay, I press X and repeat repeat and repeat, why don’t say initially to pay, I made all of that quiz, I was very excited and then I have to pay, bro just specify I have to pay, not at the end of the quiz, still I guess very good app, my friends recommended this app to me and I was very excited but I have to pay
