User Reviews

The standout positives are mobile convenience and the ability to complete gen-ed courses and earn credits from a phone, plus clear progress tracking and an overall streamlined experience. However, reliability is a major concern: users report frequent crashes, the app not opening, and update prompts that persist even after updates, with some noting it only works about 25% of the time. In short, the app is highly convenient and helpful when it runs smoothly, but stability issues are common.
Pros
  • Mobile access enables coursework completion on the go
  • Clear course status and easy progress tracking
  • Ability to earn college credits / complete gen-ed courses from a phone
  • Streamlined, efficient course-taking experience
  • Perceived affordability of courses
Cons
  • Stability issues: crashes when entering courses and overall unreliability
  • App often won't open or is unusable
  • Persistent update prompts even when the app is up to date
  • Reliability is inconsistent, with some reviews reporting success only about 25% of the time

Always have issues with app saying app needs to be updated, courses not loading, also don’t like not having the ability to see my transcript so I’m guessing what I’m taking or completing at times.

The app is generally pretty good although it is very simple. It does accomplish the main goal of letting me learn from study.com while mobile. Unfortunately, I really don’t like the way that it marks lessons as viewed automatically. It would be great if I could mark lessons unviewed manually. The reason this is a problem for me is sometimes when I’m mobile I start a lesson without realizing it’s formula dense and I will need to write notes so I want to come back to that lesson later and finish it after taking notes, but other times I encounter lessons that are not formula heavy and I would like to take the quiz and complete the lesson right the. and there.
