As someone who traveled to the Big Island specifically to see the Kīlauea eruption, this app was incredibly helpful and honestly became my most-used tool during the trip. The UI is clean and intuitive, and I really appreciate having the live webcam feeds, tilt charts, eruption forecasts, and key monitoring data all in one place. Instead of jumping between multiple USGS pages and websites, everything I needed was available in a single app and updated in real time. What impressed me most was the forecasting. The predictions combine official USGS data, historical eruption patterns, human experience, and AI analysis, which made them surprisingly accurate. The notifications were also extremely timely, even earlier than the official updates. Thanks to the app's alerts and forecasts, I was able to leave Kona and drive to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park in time to witness Episode 48 of the Kīlauea eruption before my flight! It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, and I genuinely might have missed it without this app. Highly recommended for anyone interested in volcanoes, whether you're a scientist, enthusiast, photographer, or traveler hoping to witness an eruption in person. 🌋
