CTS, Communicate Through Spelling, turns an iPad into a calm, beautiful voice for nonspeaking children and adults. Built by two fathers of autistic children, it gives every person a way to be heard, one letter at a time, whether they are 4 or 44.

SPELLING BOARDS THAT GROW Start with four big letters, move to nine, then the full alphabet and a QWERTY keyboard. Every letter speaks the moment it is tapped, and each typed word is read out loud.

TALK, IN PICTURES A picture board builds real sentences. Tap "I want," and it offers food, drink, and comfort. Tap "I feel," and it offers feelings and where it hurts. Each choice suggests the next natural words, and the whole sentence is spoken with one tap. Parents can add their own buttons with photos.

MORE THAN 40 REAL VOICES Warm women, calm men, real kids, and playful characters. Every speller picks the voice that feels like theirs, for every letter, word, and sentence, and the app cheers for them by name.

32 GAMES AND QUIZZES Motor coordination, spelling, thinking, and knowledge, where every right answer is spelled out loud. New content is added all the time.
