Some connections are one-on-one. Others tie a whole group together. aString is built around two kinds of connection — Strings and Knots.

A String is a conversation between two people. It can be anonymous, where you're just a name the system gave you, or open, where you show up as yourself. Either way, it's just you and one other person. A Knot is a space where a group comes together around something shared. Some are open to anyone, others you have to request to join. Some are anonymous, some aren't. Each Knot sets its own rules — you just decide if it's somewhere you belong.
