Uh, suddenly your hard bot gets astonishingly good rolls and its rating soared. I consider that cheating, and most people would. UPDATE: I’ve played the hard bot dozens of additional times. Using the game’s own luck analysis, the bot now consistently scores “good dice, man” and “go to Las Vegas”. It has been juiced. The game is now inherently dishonest. (This coincided with the death of the AI analysis. I suspect this is not a coincidence.) Why play the bot, you might ask? Well, because the latency, delays that result from untimed play, and general lack of app responsiveness, it should be a way to play while waiting for live players to make their next move. But, no. It’s just too slow and unresponsive, and critically.. DISHONEST. It’s unfortunate because there were reasons to like this game app effort, but not enough. Not now. I’m out. The search for a better (and honest) backgammon platform continues.
