BelegScan helps document German business meal receipts on iPhone: scan the restaurant receipt, review AI-assisted extraction, add attendees and business purpose, link a calendar event, and export a structured PDF for accounting and tax advisory workflows.

The app is built around the German Bewirtungsbeleg workflow, including the Eigenbeleg that documents the business purpose and attendees for a meal.

NEW: DIGITAL EIGENBELEG AUTHORIZATION

BelegScan supports the “required authorization” workflow for digital Eigenbelege described in the German Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) guidance dated 19 November 2025 on business meal expenses (§ 4 para. 5 sentence 1 no. 2 EStG).

When exporting a PDF, the app records the approving name, approval timestamp, export revision, and snapshot hash. Later edits are handled as new export revisions, so corrections remain traceable instead of silently replacing a previous export.
