User Reviews

Reviews praise Cravr for its supportive community and practical tools to manage cravings, with a user-friendly design. However, many cite frustrating pricing and subscription practices, difficulty canceling, and safety/moderation concerns in the community. Overall, Cravr offers value for engaged users who can navigate the paywall, but monetization and moderation issues affect trust and access.
Pros
  • Strong supportive community chat with coping skills that help users feel less alone.
  • Practical, non-fluffy tools and craving exercises that help manage urges and reduce binge eating.
  • Daily insights and reminder features that ground users and support progress.
  • Multiple methods and activities available, with a user-friendly layout and forgiving progress mindset.
  • Active involvement of founders and ongoing improvements to tailor the app to users' needs.
Cons
  • Pricing and subscription issues: unclear upfront costs, annual plans, and ongoing charges that feel like a money grab.
  • Difficulty unsubscribing or canceling and limited customer support when trying to resolve billing issues.
  • Safety concerns about community content and moderation, including posts about eating disorders by minors and unmoderated dangerous content.
  • Access and onboarding problems related to paid features, such as paywalls appearing before core functionality or login issues after payment.

I paid the $40 because I was really hopeful this would help my BED. Obviously this isn’t replacement for therapy, but a nice starting point. And I think that’s all it really is, a starting point. There’s nothing really substantial about the app to keep you coming back. I kept losing my streak and not even noticing because the confetti and trumpets wasn’t enough to keep me opening the app every day. The resources are okay, but pretty elementary and lacking. The only feature I enjoyed was the chat which is basically AI and I don’t need to pay $40 to get a chat bot to text me back.
