User Reviews

Adventure Chef offers charming art and diverse characters with easy idle gameplay across multiple cities, making it a strong concept. However, repeated issues reduce the experience: staff and customers frequently glitch, moving in place or freezing; progress sometimes fails to save; ads are intrusive with long durations and even redirects or overheating; players reach the end of content and want more levels; UI/upgrade flows can be confusing. If these problems are addressed, the game has solid potential as a standout idle restaurant title.
Pros
  • Diverse customers and staff with cute character design across multiple cities.
  • Easy-to-learn idle gameplay that remains engaging.
  • Appealing visuals and charm with strong world/level variety.
  • Strong long-term progression across multiple levels and settings.
Cons
  • Recurring glitches where staff or customers walk in place or freeze, disrupting gameplay.
  • Ad-heavy monetization: long ads, random popups, overheating reported, and even redirects to unsafe sites.
  • Progress not always saving between sessions.
  • End of content: players finish all levels and request more levels.
  • UI/upgrade flow issues and confusing changes.

EDIT: As of March 3rd, the game seems to be glitching. The staff and customers just walk in place. No one leaves or comes. I can’t make profit because nothing is happening. Today, on March 6th, I notice customers are walking backwards, as well. I can’t close the game and that resets it, but it often happens again within a few minutes. Sometimes, closing the game does nothing to fix this issue. And I get random ads that pop up and fill my entire screen for a few seconds, then they close themselves. It’s very weird. EDIT: I’ve been playing this game for a while and came back to lower my rating for two reasons, that I feel really need to be addressed: 1. I assume it’s the banner ads. Every now and again, while I’m playing the game, my game will randomly close out and take me to my internet (safari) and take me to some weird site that tells me my phone has a security risk or that a virus has taken over my phone. That’s a huge nope. No game should be doing this unless it contains a virus or it doesn’t regulate its ads and it’s letting possible viruses through. This needs to be addressed or I’ll end up deleting the app because it feels very unsafe. I have no other game that does this. 2. This game makes my phone hot. I have no other game/app that does this and in such a short amount of time. 6-7 minutes will make phone hot and slow the game down. It’s weird and I’m unsure why this game does that. I don’t often stay in the game that long, but now that I’ve upgraded my ad multiplier to 7 mins, sometimes I like to play while getting that 4.2X on my profits. However, I don’t want to mess up my phone because it’s overheating all the time. 3. The UI changes are horrible. Everything doesn’t need to look like a Facebook game. Then they also changed how upgrading gear works, but gave no explanation on it. While I do wish it had a true ad-free experience, it still has other points that I enjoy that make up for it. I LOVE that this game actually shows a variety of customers and staff. So many of these games are not, well, diverse, and that turns me off immediately. Because you’re telling me, with restaurants all over the world, everyone looks exactly the same at every single one? 🤣 Anyway, nice little idle game that gives me enough to do when I come on and play.

I’ve had this game for quite some time and now certain levels my chefs and waiters just walk in place causing me to force close and reopen. I’m in Cairo on the second level and OMG the chef’s don’t last more than 1 min before they start walking in place. I would also like to open new dishes at my own speed. It’s absurd that the game forces you to open all dishes back to back in a 5 min time period. I will consider updating my rating once my mini staff stops moonwalking in place.
