User Reviews

Users praise the app for its simplicity and strong deck organization, and its usefulness for various memorization tasks. However, repeated complaints focus on paywalls, ads, onboarding friction, and reliability issues (glitches and data loss). The value depends on willingness to pay, as the free version is restrictive. Overall, performance improvements, clearer onboarding, and fewer paywall blockers are needed for broader adoption.
Pros
  • Easy to use and intuitively simple UI
  • Good organization of flash cards and decks, with easy categorization
  • Versatile for different memorization tasks (lines, scripture, vocabulary)
  • Pricing is perceived as affordable by those who pay and is considered good value for money
Cons
  • Paywalls and aggressive pricing/prompts to upgrade before you can use features
  • Reliability issues: glitches, decks disappearing, and problems with restoring purchases
  • Ads and intrusive upgrade prompts, with many features behind a paywall
  • Poor onboarding and lack of clear instructions or import formats
  • Free version limitations such as deck limits (e.g., 5 decks) and limited features

Seems like it was going to be a decent app but then my first ad was scareware “Your account has been hacked…”. Norma ads I can deal with but this kind of content isn’t tolerable for me.

It’s legitimately just digital flashcards. A lot of the other apps are trying to create a whole learning ecosystem and force you into using their notes system. That approach might work for a lot of people but some people just legit want digital flashcards and they got the rest of their learning ecosystem on lock. I also like that there is a one time lifetime subscription. Being forced to pay perpetually is a bit much. Maybe if it was $1 per year it would make sense but this Netflix level monthly subscription most apps do is wild. So thanks for providing something I need and at an affordable cost ($40 at the time).

I was looking for an app where I can make my own flash cards for memorizing Spanish words and phrases. I use language apps, but none of them allow me to make my own study material.
