User Reviews

Users praise Acorns Early for teaching kids money management and the kid card/allowance features, but many reviews cite recurring problems: slow or unhelpful customer support, delays in funding transfers, activation and login issues, privacy concerns over data requests, and various app glitches. The strongest recurring negatives are support responsiveness, funding timelines, and access/verification hurdles, which contrast with the app's educational value and early finance focus.
Pros
  • Teaches kids money management and financial literacy.
  • Helps kids save money and learn through allowances and earnings.
  • Provides a kid-friendly debit card for real-life spending and allowance.
  • Encourages responsibility and learning through chores and money handling.
Cons
  • Poor customer service / unresponsive support.
  • Funding/transfer delays and pre-funding requirements (takes days to become available).
  • Activation/login and verification issues causing account access problems.
  • Privacy concerns, including requests for sensitive information like a Social Security number.
  • Frequent bugs and reliability issues (glitches, zip code problems, card add failures).

Bad app, won't let 2 parents link together. App is forcing same kid with same social security to sign up for 2 different accounts. Company will keep the one with the most money. Best part is you can't even contact them.
