Dropped about five hours into the game in a week. Beat it on the two free characters. It is a good game at first, trying different strategies and learning the cards. The different enemies will sometimes make your build obsolete and you lose. There is a bug where when choosing between different rewards you can select one to see the card options, then just restart the game to choose the other option to see those cards. Then you start unlocking a couple of new cards through the achievements and the winning strategy becomes a little boring. The most surefire build is just stacking the cards that remove energy cost, so that enough or all of your cards are 0 cost. So you can wipe enemies in one or two turns depending on the draw rng. Most other builds don’t work since there are enemies that ramp past turn 5-6. Dropping $5 or $10 on the new characters didn’t seem appealing for this reason, even though I like the game. I don’t want to spend $5 to play the same build but with mushrooms. Slay the Spire 2 had a similar issue IMO. Overall, decent game for free. I just don’t see the replayability after learning that it’s just trying to get the same cards over and over after you pass each tier.

This is an okay deck builder. It has little, if any, sense of style and seems to rely entirely on AI art. The gameplay itself is not bad, but it lacks any real challenge or creativity. Mostly I’m shocked at some of the eye-popping prices for the dlc. As a free download, it’s fine for an hour or so.
