User Reviews

Unnamed Space Idle is highly praised for its depth, evolving mechanics, and thoughtful design. Players appreciate ongoing development with frequent updates that add layers without pressuring wallets. The game is ad-free and mostly free-to-play friendly, offering strong long-term replayability and multiple strategic paths. Notable downsides include occasional crashes during battles and small-screen readability issues on phones. Despite these, many players remain engaged for years, drawn by the game’s complexity, balance, and evolving, living idle experience.
Pros
  • Deep, layered progression with new mechanics and systems added over time
  • Active updates that genuinely improve the game
  • Ad-free experience with minimal or no intrusive monetization
  • Excellent long-term engagement and replayability with multiple build paths
Cons
  • Crashes during gameplay reported by players (e.g., during fleet auto battles, including at node B8)
  • Text on mobile devices is unreadably small on phones

I will give this a five star rating when they add a simple option to allow us to change the UI between portrait and landscape mode on mobile devices. The game previously always played in landscape mode which made it difficult on the phone but perfect on iPads. Now we only have portrait mode on mobile. They did not give us the option to choose, a huge mistake. For me this game is now unplayable, and after investing over a year of time into this. Such a bummer. For now, I’ll set it aside and wait for an update that fixes this. Once fixed it will definitely go back to a five star rating. Hopefully in the future, the dev will have the foresight to give us options not remove them.

As cool as the portrait mode is i dont get why im not allowed to keep playing the way i have been the entire time, im actually really upset about the change i feel like i cant see anything, everything is so big, its been moved, reactor overdrives dont make sense placement wise and it seems way to arcadey, just leave in both options taking away landscape after playing with it for so long is so miserably jarring
