User Reviews

Mindset GO! offers a unique, brain-teasing puzzle experience with appealing visuals, but reviewers frequently flag monetization and gameplay design issues. The core concept shines, yet token-based gating, slow daily rewards, and occasional validation/feedback problems hinder progression. Ads and calls for a premium option are common. Overall, strong puzzle design and aesthetics are overshadowed by free-to-play mechanics that limit play.
Pros
  • Innovative, brain-teasing puzzle concept with strong, logic-based design.
  • Engaging gameplay that remains accessible to puzzle lovers, especially those into set theory.
  • Polished visuals and presentation that enhance the puzzle experience.
  • Addictive and replayable for fans of logic puzzles (e.g., Wordle, Picross, Sudoku).
Cons
  • Token economy gates most play: each puzzle costs tokens, with limited daily tokens and sets unlocking behind tokens.
  • Ad-supported model gating progression and a strong desire for a premium/no-ads option.
  • Puzzle validation can be inconsistent: valid solutions sometimes aren’t accepted, including inverses or multiple solutions.
  • Feedback during errors is unclear or confusing, with signals that aren’t always evident.
  • Slow token accrual and daily rewards make progress difficult without paying.

It’s annoying that now I HAVE to watch ads to get my daily tokens. I understand watching ads for extra hints or extra tokens, but not for the daily tokens. If part of the game is to do the daily puzzle to get tokens, there shouldn’t be an extra hoop to jump through afterwards. I might be ok with it if ads are removed elsewhere, like between puzzles.

This game is pretty solid. The only aspect that is frustrating is how feedback is given when a completed board is not the solution. If any piece that can be included in a sector of the board and is not included then aspects of the playing space flash at you. It is not always evident what these signals are telling you. This is confusing because at one point we are told there is only a single solution that will be accepted even if there are multiple solutions possible. The combination of how we are told there is an error and not knowing if the solution I am working toward is the single acceptable one leads to occasional frustration.

Every puzzle costs currency to play, even "claiming" a puzzle set that you've completed costs currency. The daily play rewards aren't enough to play very often. It's like the devs don't want you to play without paying. At that point, make it a paid app.
