The Clynk program for redeemable bottles and cans in Connecticut is a great operation once you learn the ins and outs. There are so many benefits that it certainly outweighs the negatives. No more waiting in lines; no more broken machines; no more stinking rooms filled with flies, puddles, and broken shards of glass. When I first started using Clynk, I was skeptical. However, after reaching out to their customer service department and quickly having my questions answered and the overall operation explained, I am sold. It is efficient, honest, and centered on customer service. Note that if you are trying to return out of state bottles you will be disappointed. If you are impatient and can’t wait for all your bags to be processed immediately, you will be disappointed. I am not disappointed. With respect to the app itself - it needs some work. There should be a way to see the code for every bag dropped and to know when it has been processed. Clynk knows every bar code scanned in your bags, so there should be a way to indicate what items did not qualify and avoid the issue of patrons thinking they were cheated.

I recycle pretty much everything I can. So I bring home my empties from myself and my workers. I regularly deposit between $25 and $50 worth of empties. Twice I counted by hand how much I should get in returns. $25 the first drop that returned $21.50 and $45 the second drop only returned $11.50. It’s a total scam.

Ok so at my stop and shop I saw they added this thing there to recycle bottles and that the area where we usually recycle the bottles was closed so me and my mom bought the bags we needed, I downloaded the app, set it up and everything, and then we filled up the bags. There was a party at my house a couple days ago so we had a lot of bottles and my mom saves them for me so we can recycle them and I can get money. So we do all that right. In the trunk we had a whole lot of boxes. I can’t remember the exact number but I think like maybe like 9 boxes. That should’ve got me at least like $15. Tell me why I just checked my app and it only gave me 4 dollars. That’s actually insane. Because I remember I used to get like 20-25 dollars when I used that machine where u put the bottles in one by one, but with this stupid app it only gave me 4 dollars. This app could’ve been a good idea but like what’s the point if we won’t even get a good amount of money for the amount of bottles we brought in. This is actually so disappointing. Which also means my mom wasted 2 dollars for no reason on those stupid bags.
