One of the most frustrating app experiences I’ve had in a long time. I created an account through the website, verified my email, and thought everything was ready to go. Then I downloaded the app only to discover that it requires a username that the website never asks you to create. The website uses one login system, the app appears to use another, and there is absolutely no explanation of how you’re supposed to connect the two. The result? I have a verified account that I can’t actually use. This is supposed to be a service that encourages people to recycle, but the onboarding process is so confusing and broken that it actively discourages new users from participating. If you’re going to build an ecosystem with a website and mobile app, they should use the same account system and the same sign-in process. Before adding new features, the developers should focus on making basic account creation and login actually work. Right now the experience feels unfinished and poorly tested. Very disappointing.
