For 28 years, Dr. Alison Arnold, (Doc Ali) has worked with high performing athletes in virtually every sport – from Olympians and National Champions, to those that are competitive but simply enjoy getting out there, giving it their all, with friends and teammates. Athlete Warrior, the first app of its kind, helps the youth athlete mindset by addressing the eight pillars of superior athletes — Confidence, Courage, Motivation, Focus, Resilience, Connection, Vitality, and Calm. Doc Ali has also included an optional module for parents to help them support their athlete’s journey to peak performance. This is not therapy. These are mental tools to help youth athletes become athlete warriors.
Short, simple, and entertaining – these video and audio tools will help keep their attention, solve challenges, and wire-in behaviors based in psychology, sports psychology, neuroscience, and Eastern principles. Doc Ali has also included Quests that can be printed and worked outside the app. All have been designed, tested, and implemented with thousands of athletes from around the world. The tools have been designed to be useful immediately, but to get the most from them, they should be practiced, over and over, until they become habit. Doc Ali is a problem solver. From fear and frustration, to lapses in resilience and confidence, her results-oriented approach she has made her a worldwide authority in mental training for athletes. For the past 28 years, she has guided Olympic medalists, NCAA champions, and thousands of athletes chasing their dreams. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology. She obtained certification in Neuroscience and Leadership from MIT. For 12 immersive weeks Doc Ali studied the mind with the masters in Nepal, spent four weeks in a Thai forest monastery, three weeks in the Amazon jungle in Peru, two weeks in silence integrating it all, and still made it back to teach it.
Doc Ali is relentless about helping youth athletes reach their full potential and achieve peak performance in their sport. Hundreds have gone on to earn scholarships at some of the most prestigious sports programs. Many have gone on to play professionally or at the highest levels of amateur sport.
She is a consistently invited contributor to regional and national sports congresses, symposiums, and publications, internationally.
