Protect My Choices (PMC) is a Chrome extension from AdChoices that helps preserve the opt-out choices you set through the Digital Advertising Alliance's WebChoices. It prevents accidental deletion of the cookies used to store those preferences and supports your control over interest-based advertising.

PMC 2.0 (beta) expands beyond cookies by enabling browser-based signals to honor your choices without relying on third-party cookies. It does not block ads, and it applies to WebChoices and related tools (YourAdChoices Token Tool, AppChoices). The extension relies on first-party cookies that expire after seven days, and your preferences only apply to the specific browser where PMC is installed. As more companies join the DAA program, their opt-outs will be added; periodically review and update your choices, and if upgrading from PMC 1.0 to 2.0, prior selections will be imported.

Recent reviews

Downloaded the app from the App Store, opened the app. Screen said to turn on the extension in Safari under Settings, so I did that. Absolutely NOTHING happened. Quit the app, reopened it several hours later and got the same screen telling me to turn on the extension in settings. That’s all you get with this app. Worthless. Now deleted.

It installed it from the Safari Extensions store, somehow it’s installed in Chrome as well. Chrome store will not allow reviews so I think they’ve deprecated it. I managed to uninstall it from Chrome but it persists in Safari. The developer has no real support pages or instructions or a way to contact.
