2026-05-18	Gc*****	I tried connecting the magic mike USB-c to my iPhone to do the firmware upgrade using a usb-c to iPhone adapter cable. The BOYA app never saw the BOYA receiver so I could never update the firmware. I tried several different usb-c to iPhone cables and it never worked.

I later tested and saw its streaming data to their servers. So recordings are not private. And could very likely be by Chinese intelligence.

Then I bought the usb c and it works but now I am not sure how to pair the other two that I have with the usb c. So now I have 1 working mic for my 16e and 2 others that I can’t use. After reading the privacy policy and terms of use, I found that there is no way to adjust the cookie preferences without losing the functionality that I paid for. Furthermore, it was abundantly clear that they would share my personal info to all of their 2nd and 3rd party partners and affiliates. No thanks.
