Howl

Howl is a dark, fairy-tale world presented in living-ink art. This turn-based puzzle/tactical game places you in the role of a deaf heroine who foresees enemies’ moves and outsmarts wolves and other beasts. Navigate a rich medieval setting, plan up to six steps ahead, and use skills like Shadow Step and Exploding Shot to survive the hunt.

Beyond its richly drawn world, Howl offers 60 levels across 4 chapters, plus 18 extra levels in the free Heart of Rot update. The update introduces a new chapter, fresh enemies, a boss, new environment mechanics, and the Lightning Shot—unlocked in its own map and usable in the main game. An ally NPC fights by your side later on, and the base game remains free to download with an optional in-app purchase to unlock the full experience. Plot your route on the world map to uncover secret paths and rescue villagers from the howls.
