Pros: the hardware/frame is solid and well-built, repurposing an old iPad into a nice display with strong basic design. Cons: the app is repeatedly unstable, with login/registration and backend issues; updates are sparse and many promised features remain unfulfilled; photo management and slideshow controls are clunky; and UI/brightness usability is lacking. Overall, the device shows promise, but software quality is the major hurdle holding back the experience.

Ambient light is permanently stuck on after the last update. Binding and unbinding hasn’t helped.

Today’s release broke the ability to control the ambient lighting - have to unplug to turn it off now. Tried all the tricks suggested. Error says “iCharguard MQTT topic is unavailable. Please refresh device information”
