Wasteland Life: Survival Idle

Wasteland Life! boasts a compelling core premise centered around post-apocalyptic exploration, but its execution falls drastically short. Rather than leaning into discovery and rewarding goals, the game gets bogged down by unrefined systems, awkward pathing logic, and frequent performance hiccups. The fundamental issue lies in its severely out-of-balance economy. Extreme resource scarcity drags gameplay to a crawl, forcing players into endless cycles of tedious busywork—such as grinding for basic survival needs like water and food—just to keep things moving. The sand-to-gold conversion rate is painfully slow, and instead of offering fresh challenges, the game relies heavily on making players repeat the exact same levels over and over. While the potential for a great wasteland adventure is buried beneath the surface, the overwhelming repetition and poor design choices turn what should be an exciting journey into a slog. Verdict: Not worth your time. Do not recommend.

I have been playing this game for a few weeks and have enjoyed myself. Last week I got to the point in level 15 where I needed to grow the Aloe Plant and it wouldn’t let me. I even purchased the plants twice, but they didn’t populate in my inventory. Contacted support and they said I needed to delete the app and reinstall and start over again. They gave me some gems and I restarted. After a week of playing, it did it again. I managed to use the gems to buy the aloe for the medicine to get past the next level. But, the task to grow the aloe plant will not go away, so I am stuck again. I contacted support 3 days ago and haven’t heard anything. I am deleting the app.
