Review summary

Potion Permit on iOS/iPadOS is a charming, relaxing RPG with adorable art, a gentle pace, and a story with puzzles and relationships, plus no microtransactions. Players praise its atmosphere and the ability to play on mobile, with decent controller support. However, it suffers from stability and UX issues: frequent crashes, slow loads, and overall unoptimised performance; save frustrations due to no mid‑day autosave and only nightly saves; plus UI and text that are hard to read or misaligned on smaller screens, and touch controls that can feel buggy. Fixing these would make it a standout mobile RPG.
Pros
  • Adorable art style and charming atmosphere.
  • Relaxing RPG with a fun story, puzzles, and relationships.
  • No microtransactions and a fair price.
  • Good controller support and solid controls on mobile.
  • Playable on iPhone/iPad with enjoyable portability.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and stability issues on iPad/iPhone.
  • Lack of mid-day autosave and reliance on nightly saves (saving frustrations).
  • Performance issues / low frame rates and unoptimized mobile performance.
  • UI readability and scaling problems on smaller screens (text too small, UI elements off-screen).
  • Touch controls can be buggy or unresponsive (thumbstick gets stuck, touchscreen input issues).

2026-05-10 Se***** This is a fun game, a lot like Stardew (although it shouldn’t be more expensive imo). There’s a lot to do in the beginning too. Things I wish it had: a way to save progress without going to sleep and more patients in the clinic.

2026-04-03 Sl***** Hi!! I love the game but am curious as to when or if more ramble interaction will be added and is there any future for creating a family?
