Just so you know, I will NOT spend money to play a game! Does this statement affect my play action?

I played for just a couple days and reached level 134 and the next puzzle to solve doesn’t allow me to move any pieces without the use of a side line helper. I have none and refuse to purchase any with real money. I progressed in the game in every way possible and no other rewards earned for free helped either. There is no way for me to progress any further in this game without making a purchase which is simply unacceptable. I thought I had finally found a free game with no ads and was something I enjoyed, but the makers have backfired against me with this one puzzle.
