Overall sentiment shows reliability and accuracy issues dominate the reviews. The app frequently goes offline, streams stall, and discovery times out. Bird identification is often wrong. Video feeds glitch or stop, and UI is clunky with intrusive banners and hard media deletion. Some users report security concerns and pushy storage upsells. When the system is functioning, image quality is excellent. In short, the product offers good media quality but is unreliable and frustrating in everyday use.

Recent reviews

This app is almost impossible to use. After spending $100+ on a camera to birdwatch, they then ask you to pay a MONTHLY PREMIUM for AI slop and the ability to have any storage for videos without having to daily remove them. I’m sure many others would also find to discover this if they could even open the app in the first place. The laggy, slow, almost impossible to navigate app has no sort of clear way to get help either besides an AI chatbot, so good luck trying to change this! You are able to share your “nest” with others, but they can’t do anything besides watch the videos. Once your storage is filled (it takes about 1 morning depending on your area and the bird amount), they are unable to remove videos except for me, which makes it hard as someone who infrequently checks the app. This app is a miserable experience to avoid if you can help it.

This app along with the device software/hardware are poorly done. Connectivity is spotty at best. There are additional charges for storage as well as the AI identify option, but the birds are not even correctly identified. Buffers constantly or won’t load live videos at all. Very poorly done.
