User Reviews

The app delivers a deep Dragon Quest–style monster-collection JRPG on iOS with solid performance and a quality mobile port, earning strong praise and value among fans. However, it suffers from lack of controller support and recurring stability issues such as crashes and lag, which detract from the experience for some players.
Pros
  • Deep Dragon Quest / JRPG-style monster collection and synthesis experience that fans widely praise.
  • High-quality mobile port with console-like graphics and generally smooth performance on iOS.
  • Positive, broad fan reception and strong value—often regarded as one of the best JRPGs / monster-collecting games on iOS.
  • Appreciation for having a mobile version of a classic Dragon Quest Monster title, expanding accessibility on iPad/iPhone.
Cons
  • No controller support available on mobile, a frequent and widely noted complaint.
  • Frequent crashes/freezes and overall performance instability (including lag and frame-rate drops) reported by multiple users.

LOVE this game, runs amazing on mobile port and without controller it actually is extremely nice to play. I actually thought it was a mobile released game because it was so smooth lol, but giving the game controller support would let people use backbone controller setups etc and just make enjoying the game even better

It’s great, the only issue is it crashes when you’re in the lava worlds and the season turns winter. Luckily the game saves it self frequent enough for it to not lose much progress.
