I joined last year, before the big refactor when there were more than 3 tiers, and I earned Regular status the hard way. Then came the redesign. I work in startup too, so I understood that product overhauls are messy. I accepted being bumped down to Member and kept showing up anyway. What finally broke me: I watched people around me get a challenge where spending $600 earns Regular status through December 2027. Meanwhile the standard path now requires $5,000 in spending or $2,500 loaded. I've completed 11 challenges, made 12 referrals, logged 700+ activities, bought FLY with USDC, and run 2 credit cards through this app consistently in roughly 6 months. If that doesn't make me a loyal user, nothing does. The issue isn't the tier system itself; it's the inconsistency. Newer users get a low-cost shortcut while long-time power users get left behind with no acknowledgment and no path forward. Blackbird used to be my favorite app on my phone, full stop. Beautiful design, genuinely great concept. Now it's off my home screen. Once my balance is drained, the account goes with it. And if someone like me with 12 referrals, 11 challenges, and 700+ activities is walking away, imagine what that means for the people I brought in who never even made it to Regular.
