Features & Capabilities

StreamSide celebrates the Year of the Dragon with a special promotion.

From the creators of Spirit Story Box, the ER70 EVP Recorder emulates a discontinued vintage physical digital recorder which is famous for capturing Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVPs). The ER70 EVP recorder is for entertainment purposes only.

Here are some key features:

• Legendary Signal Path: Replicates the signal path of a famous 1990’s digital recorder which currently sells for thousands of dollars on online auction sites • 3D styling: inspired by the aesthetics of original device, the ER70 is dynamically rendered in realtime, and set against 360º photographs of haunted and scenic locations • Physical Based Rendering (PBR): Lighting and reflections change as iPhone is rotated • Simple operation: Easy to use, difficult to mess up • Voice Activated System: Let the app automatically record audio changes. Watch for the blink! • Seven Minute Sessions: The ER70 limits sessions to seven minute intervals. No more searching through hours-long recordings • Tagging: the ability to log where in a recording an anomaly can be heard • Easy saving and sharing: How many files get stuck on your physical digital recorder? • 5-second skip and rewind: It shouldn't be difficult to quickly review a file with your friends. • Optional Geolocation: Have you ever recorded a file and later wondered where the EVP session took place? • Favoriting: You should be able to identify your best recordings at a glance. • Easy file renaming: Renaming a recording is as simple as slowly tapping twice on a file name. • Accessibility features: For persons with disabilities

Instead of heavily investing in a used piece of gear which is destined to wear out, why not spend a fraction of that on an app which offers so much more?

This app is def legit caught some weird responses and good ones I do believe this app can reach the paranormal realm

I’ll give you credit for attempting to make an app version of Panasonic’s RR-DR60. This was one of the first IC recorders, beloved by paranormal folks (I use to be one, AAEVP early 2000s — during this time I owned two RR-DR60s) The RR-DR60 was a little too good at picking up EVP - always class B or C at best, however never class A. The mic on the DR60 was prone to proximity effect — resulting in distorted lows and what sounded like a man screaming into the recorder. The mic’s preamp had a high level of self-noise, poor SNR, which contributed to adding digital artifacts that could sound like whispers. The A2D converter was low-resolution quantization noise, resulting in non-linear clipping. The buffering suffered from memory dropouts during writing to the onboard storage which resulted in micro stuttering. The flash memory was prone to playback issues which could introduce glitches in the audio out. In addition to unstable ripple and preamp noise, EMI clock bleeding into the mic chain. So while I respect your idea — surely you (developer) must know the history of the RR-DR60 and the fact it is nothing more than an early IC recorder that suffered from a large amount of flaws. And if one wants to ask from a paranormal angle — why would a spirit communicate better with this model than others? This makes no sense. The only truly unexplainable EVP occurs on analog tape, which does not suffer from things such as low quality A2D converters and quantization noise, or quantization noise. People take this EVP/ITC business very seriously, I use to clean audio of mothers who lost their kids to suicide or car accidents. Please don’t make apps like this when you know it’s snake oil. Regards

I have tried many of the more serious spirit apps out there with zero results. The only device that ever worked for me to establish spirit communication was the digital recorder. I purchased the ER70 app thinking it was nonesense. I thought there was no way you can copy the origial DR recorder with an app. however, the background to the makers of the app peeked my interest so I thought I'd try it out. My Dad past away last year and I have been trying to contact him through various spirit apps and my digitial recorder with zero results. On my third attempt with the ER70 app I received a response and I am so happy right now! After asking for my Dad on the playback I clearly hear "I am with you" on the recording. Here's the best of all, I didn't need headphones to hear the EVP! The EVP was loud enough to hear on playback with my ear. I had several of my family members listened to the EVP and they all heard the same thing! I don't know if that was my Dad, but I got a clear response using the ER70 app. I would like to thank the makers of the app for putting out an app that actually works and doesn't rip the public off with fake claims. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
