Touch ID on iPhone is broken again. Turn it on in settings, log out, old login screen appears with no Touch ID option. Why is it so hard to not break this with every other update?

This app has had its issues. My company mainly uses it for timekeeping. When Face ID was added , it made this app tolerable. Since the last update, Face ID no longer works and I now have to enter my password manually and wait for a verification code from my company to login. I have tried to turn Face ID back on in the settings, it will save but as soon as I log out it is no longer there again! Fix this please!
