Is BrainJamz free? BrainJamz has a generous free tier. Unlimited access to the community library cards, create up to 60 custom cards per month, and study with limited ads. Upgrade to Pro if you want to create more cards, study ad free, or have four times greater background music variety.

What is BrainJamz? BrainJamz is a flashcard app that allows you to learn without staring at your phone screen. Use it to study while you drive, walk your dog, or do anything else you need to get done.

Does BrainJamz support Spaced Repetition (SRS) learning? Yes, new cards and recently incorrect cards play more frequently. Cards progress through a modified Leitner system and are played when you need to hear them.

What kind of flashcards can BrainJamz make? BrainJamz can be used to easily create cards for language learning, question and answer prompts, or spelling and vocabulary words for your known language.

How do I grade my cards in BrainJamz if I’m not using my phone screen? With BrainJamz, you can grade cards with your phone in your pocket and the screen turned off. If you want to grade a card incorrect, just use the skip back controls of your headphones (with AirPods, this is a quick triple pinch). You don’t need to do anything to grade a card correct. When a card finishes playing, if you did not grade it incorrect, it is automatically graded correct. If you wish to grade it manually – use the skip forward controls of your headphones (quick double pinch with AirPods).

Does BrainJamz support CarPlay? Yes! BrainJamz lets you learn while you drive. Use your steering wheel controls to grade your cards. For stability – using a wired connection to CarPlay is recommended if you have any issues with wireless playback.

For language learners, what languages does BrainJamz support? BrainJamz currently supports Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Hindi, and Italian. If there is a language not supported that you would like to see added just let us know.

For Spanish, which accent does BrainJamz use? BrainJamz allows you to choose between Spain or Mexico when creating Spanish cards. This choice influences both the accuracy of the translation and the accent of the voice.

How does BrainJamz support learning with comprehensible input? BrainJamz enables you to quickly expand your target language vocabulary. This allows the material you listen to for comprehensible input becomes more advanced. Copy and paste from your reading materials into BrainJamz and get a translation and new card created at the same time.

Does BrainJamz include any pre-made cards? The community library currently has decks for language high frequency word lists and frequently misspelled words for English.

Can I use BrainJamz offline? Internet is required to create new cards. When you are offline, you can listen to your existing content (including grading it).

Can I set daily study goals with BrainJamz? Yes. Track your daily goal streak and optionally receive notification when not done.
