Features & Capabilities

Audio Flashcards App is a hands-free learning tool that uses audio-based flashcards and spaced repetition to boost memory. Create cards by recording your voice or generating both sides with text-to-speech, then review them while commuting, exercising, or doing chores—without looking at the screen.

Ideal for language learning, exam prep, medical and professional study, and anyone who wants to reinforce knowledge during idle moments. Its audio-first design makes studying easy to do on the go, turning everyday activities into productive revision sessions.

User Reviews

Audio Flashcards App is popular for hands-free, audio-based study with strong organization and language-learning potential, but users repeatedly cite import/playback issues, onboarding UX friction, occasional crashes, lack of autoplay, and limited deck-management features.
Pros
  • Hands-free learning for driving, walking, and commuting (audio-first study).
  • Use your own recordings or voice for flashcards (pronunciation practice).
  • Flexible organization with folders, nested decks, statistics, and multiple review options.
  • Auditory-learning friendly and language-practice friendly (loopable audio, clear pronunciation focus).
  • Quick and simple setup for creating and reviewing cards on the go.
Cons
  • Unreliable audio import/upload: files can be cut off or durations misreported.
  • Onboarding and user experience can be confusing; lack of documentation and obscure UI elements.
  • Stability issues such as crashes and bugs in certain versions.
  • No autoplay feature to run through questions/answers automatically.
  • Deck management is limited: no built-in search/sort; editing large decks is tedious; flagging behavior can lose flags.

No complaints. I like using it over regular flash cards.

This app is so confusing to use, I literally spent an hour trying to figure out how to import an audio into this God forsaken app and when I did figure it out it literally did nothing. I literally just wanted to study for a test using my recordings of the lectures and all I got was a waste of time. I hope someone learns how to make an actual app where you could record or import recordings and make it into flashcards cause this is not it.

Great if you are an audible learner and can loop audio. Not so great for visual learners. Would be awesome if text and images could go along with the audio.
