User Reviews

Across reviews, the IFR Flight Simulator is valued as a practical tool for sharpening IFR skills and maintaining proficiency, with users noting gains in confidence. However, price is a major sticking point, as many see the subscription as expensive and the free version too limited. There’s also concern about realism beyond holds, with several reviewers calling out missing features like approved approaches, departures, and fixes. A few users praise the UI and overall engagement, and one critic questions credibility, but the core takeaways center on training value versus cost and feature depth.
Pros
  • Helps sharpen IFR skills and maintain proficiency through practice (holds, tracks, intercepts).
  • Engaging and improves user proficiency; reviewers report feeling more confident and “on top of their game.”
  • Intuitive UI / generally user-friendly experience highlighted by reviewers.
Cons
  • Pricing is expensive; subscription model and premium gating reduce perceived value.
  • Free version offers limited features; users feel it’s necessary to pay for broader functionality.
  • Realism limited beyond holds; departures, approaches, and fixes are not well modeled, reducing training usefulness.
Recent reviews
Not only is this app terrible, but after using several apps for my flight training over the past few months, I recently realized that the developer blatantly copied (and did a poor job of it, by the way) the website of ATC One. As a developer, that’s extremely unprofessional. I’ve already reported this to the original app’s team. As a CFI, I would not recommend this app to anyone—especially considering the creator’s lack of integrity in copying others’ work. It seriously calls into question whether this app was built by real pilots at all, which makes it even less trustworthy.

App states “in app” but after a short trial period, your subscription begins. No free trial unless you sign up.

While i can’t fault the dev for wanting money for their work, its just not a lot of features that you get without premium. But possibly the best app of its type on mobile
