しかし、身体を動かす生活習慣は、その萎縮を抑えることがわかっています。 
すなわち、運動はあなたにとっての「薬」なのです。
BrainUp ReMeDy（ブレインアップ レメディ）は、運動の「用法や容量」を導くアプリです。 効果的な運動の用法を身に付け、海馬を意識したライフスタイルをはじめましょう。 記憶力や判断力といった認知機能の低下の兆候は、「海馬の萎縮」という形で先行して現れることが分かっています。海馬の萎縮には、加齢、睡眠不足や運動不足など生活習慣の乱れが大きくかかわっています。しかし、6ヵ月以上の運動習慣等により、海馬で神経細胞が新しく生まれる「神経新生」が起き、海馬体積を維持・増加させることが可能です。 BrainUp ReMeDyは、 Apple Watchと連携し、心拍数を追跡して、最適な有酸素運動の実施と継続を目指します。

The hippocampus, a part of the brain, naturally shrinks as we age, leading to a decline in cognitive functions such as memory. However, maintaining an active lifestyle has been shown to slow down this shrinkage. In other words, exercise acts as a “medicine” for your brain. BrainUp ReMeDy is an app designed to guide you on the “dosage and instructions” of effective exercise. Start incorporating a hippocampus-conscious lifestyle by learning the most effective exercise practices. Signs of cognitive decline, such as memory loss and decreased decision-making abilities, are often preceded by hippocampal shrinkage. This shrinkage is significantly influenced by aging, lack of sleep, and an unhealthy lifestyle, including insufficient physical activity. However, adopting an exercise routine for more than six months can trigger “neurogenesis,” the birth of new neurons in the hippocampus, helping to maintain or even increase hippocampal volume. BrainUp ReMeDy integrates seamlessly with Apple Watch, tracking heart rates to help users engage in and sustain optimal aerobic exercise.
