Users overwhelmingly report that HealthEquity Mobile is unstable and hard to use. The most persistent issue is the mandatory passkey login, which leads to repeated sign-in failures, ID verification hurdles, and being locked out. Document handling is another major pain point: users hit upload limits, see misleading success/failure messages, or can’t attach receipts to claims. The app also crashes or performs slowly, with frequent login loops and poor UX. Many features that work on the website are unusable or unavailable in the mobile app, and support is slow or unhelpful. Balance viewing is sometimes the only reliable function.

Recent reviews

Since requiring the passkey to login I can’t get into my account and send the needed paperwork. I have called three times and totally get the run around each time. They sent me paperwork to get my phone number changed and it was faxed back via UPS with verification they got it and I still can’t get this to work. I get to the final selfy and it says verification successful and then it goes to the login screen and says my account is locked. I am going to have to visit my lawyer because there is so much money involved in this.

The website is bad, but this app is so much worse. It's impossible to understand the various states of your claims and payments, even after speaking with customer service. Sometimes there are $0 claims for no apparent reason. The app is also super slow sometimes. For an app that is supposed to tell you about YOUR OWN MONEY, this is just horrible. Do better Health Equity.
