2025-06-12 ja***** This app is very good, but will be a five star app If you could fix the bug that is causing the picture not to be saved because every time I close app and reopen it it resets back to the original picture.

2024-08-01 So***** I had this app long ago. It was beautiful. The fish moved gracefully, realistically. Their bodies curved if they changed direction. I could drag my finger through the water or add little chunks of food, and the fish behaved like living fish, some might approach my finger and others might be more timid, some approached the food slowly then would grab and dash away. These fish are stiff, cartoon-like, and movements are synchronized and not at all unique, adding to the fakeness. It seems nothing moves but the ends of the tails, and it doesn’t matter whether you have one fish, 2 or 20, they are all in sync: they all waggle tail tips at the same speed, same direction, same rhythm, and physically they all look pretty much the same (like copy/paste over and over). The original/old app was absolutely beautiful; this one, not so much. I encourage the developer to spend some time on the FISH, not just music or items like static flowers to stick on top or more backgrounds. It’s been years (see version history and earlier complaints) since any effort was applied to the FISH, and they are in bad need of attention, including more artistic and realistic rendering. It’s call KOI pond, but the koi are the weakest part of this app.

2018-10-14 Ms***** This is awful. Not relaxing at all . You cannot turn sound effects off and the add ins especially the food look terrible. I miss being able to attract the koi by touching the water.

2018-07-05 bo***** This app still needs a lot of work, primarily in the animation of the koi. The fish still do not have truly life-like movement. They slide more than swim. Only the very ends of the fins seem to move and this makes them look a bit cartoonish. Still, this is the best replacement so far for the original koi pond app that so many of us know and love (but no longer works because it is was never updated to run on iOS 11). This app is simple to use and fairly intuitive. Most of the backgrounds and sounds are well executed ... though some are head-scratchingly strange. Other more advanced koi apps require feeding to grow fish and more money to unlock more features. This app does what the original did so wonderfully and simply; present a peaceful, calm koi pond setting to relax with. Once you set the sounds and backgrounds and other visuals, you simply enjoy the fish and the mood. However, the major drawback is very disappointing. The fish simply do not move in a realistic manner and this significantly detracts from the overall pleasure of the app. One hopes the developer will eventually be able to address and fix this problem. But he seems far too satisfied with his latest iterations and updates. I also wish the developer could find some better translation software, because his updates read too often like garbled word salad ... the kind of writing generated by bots that are attempting to create text for junk email selling viagra. Clearly the developer means well and wants to provide a good app, but it does seem like he’s far too satisfied with his current results. Hopefully, the developer continues to work on this app and maybe someday he will get some help from someone who really knows how to animate the fish so that they appear life-like and move realistically.

2018-06-01 Ja***** Wish I had. Still the same complaint as those from three years ago. The fish don’t move naturally. In my head I hear ‘Zoom’ as they slowly move across the screen, though sometimes they do zip across. Oh, the floating stuff is just horrid. The food looks like donuts, or maybe it is donuts, frosted donuts. I do like the music, but not worth the price.

2018-05-04 La***** Like many users, I came here for an alternative to the ruined Koi Pond app. Maybe it’s not fair that we all want this app to be just like the old Koi Pond, but we really do. One feature I really liked about that app was that I could remove the fish and just play with the water against a nice background. I wish I could do that here. I also wish there were more backgrounds that were realistic for water, like the tiled pools in Koi Pond. The sky backgrounds and such here don’t make sense to me. I also don’t understand what those little pairs of ovals are. Fish food? The fish don’t eat them, so that seems unlikely. I’d like to be able to eliminate them, like I can eliminate the plants. Generally, though, I like this app and find it relaxing.

2018-01-23 AA***** After looking for a replacement to the KoiPond app, finally PondKoi has arrived. This app has realistic water and waves and you can add or delete fish, flowers, and choose different pond backgrounds. I particularly like the rocks one. You can change music or sound. Excellent job and worth the $3 for the non-lite version

2017-12-26 Pa***** The old Koi Pond app was great. It’s replacement is terrible. I thought this was going to be an updated version more like the old Koi pond app. This doesn’t look realistic. In particular, the koi swim like robots. Disappointed but if you can improve, the stars will go up. Seriously just view the old version of Koi Pond. Even going back to my 3g it was killing it over yours.......sorry

2017-11-18 jp***** Missed the old koi pond. This will get there. Good alternative. Customizable. Nice water. Calming Fish. If the water fluid motion was a little improved to be a little more viscous, would be nice.

2017-09-16 th***** The movement of the fish is repetitive, unnatural, and boring. The "plops" on the pond make nice ripples than are interesting for about 3 minutes. I will discard this app. I am not a fan.
